COVID-19 PREVENTION PROTOCOLS
Face masks must be worn at all times by patients and staff. No exceptions will be made at this time.
APPOINTMENTS REQUIRED FOR ALL VISITS
Only patients with an appointment will be allowed to enter the office. Eyeglass pick-ups, adjustments and repairs will need an appointment at this time. The front doors will remain locked during normal business hours to help us control the number of patients in the office.
We will continue to provide curbside pick-ups for patients picking up glasses or contact lenses. Please call us when you are in the parking lot, and we will bring your order to your car.
Patients will receive a wellness questionnaire via text 1 day before their appointment to ensure they have not been exposed to the coronavirus and/or do not have symptoms of COVID-19.
To reduce the exchange of paperwork, we ask all patients to complete the necessary forms prior to their appointment. The front desk staff will direct you to the required forms on our website. Please ensure we receive all completed forms via email or fax 1 day prior to your appointment.
To best abide by the social distancing protocols, we kindly ask our adult patients to come alone to their appointment. Patients under 18, those with language barriers and those with special needs are allowed to bring 1 parent/guardian/translator.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
You will be asked to notify us once you have arrived in the shopping center parking lot and remain in your car until we are ready to see you. Upon entering the office, you will be asked to wash your hands and have your temperature taken. You will then proceed with the rest of the exam.
With the exception of emergencies, we kindly ask that you postpone your frame selection until the Shelter in Place has been lifted. When shopping for eyewear, our opticians will work with you and help select your eyewear to minimize the number of frames that need to be sanitized.
For your annual exam, please come to the office wearing your glasses. Bring a pair of contact lenses with you. We will ask you to insert the contact lenses at the office. If you are returning for a contact lens evaluation or fitting, please arrive wearing your contact lenses to your appointment.
To reduce the number of items that need to be sanitized in our office, we have cordoned off the waiting area. We have also removed books, toys and brochures. We will also be mounting sneeze guards, where appropriate and will be promoting physical distancing practices by marking floors .
We kindly ask that you use the restroom prior to your visit to the office. We have public facilities available and cannot control how sanitary the restrooms are. If you must use the public restroom, we require that you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when returning to our office.
